Good news to hear. Did you know that the Government increased their budget for cash of the clunkers program from $1 billion to $2 billion? The cash for clunkers program becomes more popular than anticipated which is an environmental friendly so, the program was extended. You may trade your old cars now and get a rebate of $4500.

Below are the list of requirements to qualify the program:

1.) Have been manufactured less than 25 years before the date of trade in;
2.) Have a "new" combined city/highway fuel economy of 18 miles per gallon or less;
3.) It must be in a drivable condition;
4.) It has been continuously insured and registered to the same owner for the full year preceding the trade-in; and
5.) In the case of a category 3 vehicle, the vehicle must have been manufactured not later than model year 2001.
