The controversy of the fight between Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito has ended when they two finally face their thousands fans and supporters at Madison Square Garden, New York City.

Margarito drops his second straight fight and his first and only bout of the year. Entering the fight at MSG there were questions concerning Margarito's eye and if the commission would clear him for the fight. He was licensed but the fight proved that Margarito has lost a step in his career.

BULLETBOYS DRUMMER JOHNNY GIOSA DIED IN CAR ACCIDENT

Johnny Giosa, drummer of  BulletBoys best known as Johnny G, was killed in a car accident on Sunday in Los Angeles at the age of 42. The band confirmed through Facebook post  that it was indeed Giosa who died in a car accident.

An emotional text and unedited post read as follows: "I post this message with a heavy heavy heart.. Words can not express how devastated I am to hear about my friends'  passing, Mr. Johnny G. My sincerest condolences to his family and the ones he loved. We're all going to miss you brother! RIP... Skinnard!!"

Giosa was a bit  of a Renaissance man. He didn't just bash the skins with a dabbled creative fields in acting, modeling and hair styling. He enjoyed stints in bands both in Philly and LA but the Bulletboys were his most recent musical gig.

Reports said that Giosa was driving home from a club hung out with friends when the car accident took place.

MICHAEL VICK SIGNED A $100 MILLION CONTRACT WITH PHILADELPHIA EAGLES

ESPN reported that  Philadephia Eagles agreed to a new 6-year-$100-million dollar contract with Pro Bowl quarterback Michael Vick. The deal guarantees that All- Pro quarterback will get  $40 million. Vick is back after two years spending time in jail on a charged of dog disputes and  now on the top as one of the highest paid-players in the NFL. 

The deal may not be relevant to the Tennessee Titans and Chris Johnson because Vick is a quarterback and a quarterback get more money than the other players. What matters most is the guaranteed $40 million no matter what happens on the field. 

Michael Vick signed  in with the Eagles because he wanted to not because NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell or anybody else talked to him about it. 

Vick clarified all the  arising insinuation more particularly in the cover story of GQ Magazine and said: "I did speak with many people, but the decision to sign in Philadelphia was based on my discussions with my agent, my family and with Coach (Andy) Reid. And after those discussions, it became clear to me that this was the place I wanted to play and resume my NFL career. The commissioner never told me to sign or not sign with particular teams. Again, I want to make it perfectly clear that this was a decision I made and, as I have said numerous times before, I'm very happy with the way it has worked out for me and my family."

Eagles coach Andy Reid in a statement said, "I'm very happy we were able to reach an agreement with Michael on this long-term contract. It's a product of all the hard work Michael has done to better himself over the last couple of years, both on and off the field.  I'm very proud that he has been able to achieve success again in this league, but he'll be the first one to tell you that there is a lot of work yet to be done by him and this team as a whole.  And there's no doubt in my mind that he will continue on the path."

The 31-year old Michael Vick quoted and said, "And I commend and thank them, because they put me in the  right situation. 

Well,  whether Vick were white, black or any other race, it's hard to imagine the Philadelphia Eagles offering the 31-year-old more money to play quarterback. That's just the way it is, and the contract  is a huge come back for Michael Vick.

FACEBOOK, RIM SCHEDULED TO MEET UK OFFICIALS OVER PROPOSED SOCIAL MEDIA BAN

Facebook and Blackberry maker Research in Motion (RIM) are scheduled to meet with Home Secretary Theresa May and other UK officials in connection with the investigation conducted by the government about the recent riots in London. 

Twitter, which is one of the social media used by rioters said in its statement, "We are not joining the talks, but we are happy to listen."

Facebook in its statement said, "We look forward to meeting with the Home Secretary to explain the measures we have been taking to ensure that Facebook is a safe and positive platform in the UK at this challenging time."

UK Prime Minister David Cameron, on Thursday, alarmed free speech activists when he told Parliament that the government is examining whether it is possible to prevent suspected criminals from sending messages via social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook.

We are working with the police, the intelligence services and industry to look at whether it would be right to stop people communicating via these websites and services when we know they are plotting violence, disorder and criminality, Cameron told the House of Commons. 

The investigation, which has been outlined in pretty vague terms, has incited criticism from the media and free speech alike.

Hello Guys! Did you know that StumbleUpon has reached its milestone? Two days ago, its famous Stumble button has been clicked more than 25 billion times.

TEAM POISON HACKED BLACKBERRY WEBSITE

A group of hackers attacked the Blackberry website, after the company announced that it will help government authorities to investigate violence in the UK, BBC News Online reported. 

The group, called Team Poison, pirated the official blog of Blackberry, posting a message threatening the company with reprisals.

It was reported that the Blackberry participated and have been used for instant messaging during the riots. 

The Team Poison said, "We are all in favor of protestors who engage in attacks on police and government."

The group of hackers likewise threatened to publish information of Blackberry employees, including names, address and phone numbers.

British law states that police can ask mobile citizens's data when the information related to criminal liability.

LONDON RIOTS: MORE THAN 1,000 ARRESTED

More than 1,000 were arrested and 600 were charged over the three days rioting and looting in London.

Among the arrested was a 19-year old man from Haringey, East London, who posted a picture of  himself on Twitter with a haul of suspected stolen goods.  He was charged for Violent Disorder and Theft. 

Also charged was a 16-year-old girl for two counts of Robbery, Attempted Robbery, Possession of Bladed Weapon, Threatening Violence and Assault of Person in Authority. 

Another 15-year-old girl was also charged with Attempted Robbery and Threatening Violence of same incident. 

The riot started and sparkled across Britain when Mark Duggan, 29, a nephew of a renowned gangland criminal with a history of violence who ran the Manchester's underworld for 20 years, was shot to death by an officer. 

Desmond "Dessee" Noonan, the late uncle of Mark Duggan, claimed that his family is untouchables.

MANNY PACQUIAO WON OVER MIGUEL COTTO'S FIREPOWER FIGHT

LAS VEGAS - November 14. Pacquiao finally got his 7th world title of the WBO welterweight championship against Miguel Cotto at the MGM Grand Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Pacquiao won his unprecedented seventh world title in seven different weight classes Saturday night with a one-sided, 12th-round TKO over Cotto with a 55 seconds remaining during the game.

Cotto becomes the latest top boxer to succumb to the speed of Pacquiao (50-3-2, 38 KO's), who took down David Diaz, Oscar De La Hoya and Ricky Hatton to set up this challenge against a pure welterweight who figured to outweigh him by 15 pounds at the opening bell.

When asked, What will be his next plan? Pacquiao answered, "I don't know but it's up to my master." "In the meantime, I'm going to take a vacation and spend time with my family."

When beating became one-sided, Cotto's wife and son left the ringside in the 8th round when Cotto suffered cuts across his eyes, a bleeding nose and nursing a tender left shoulder which left him wincing to the touch.

When the game was over, Cotto's mother tenderly kissed her son's hands and fingers after his cornermen removed the wraps.

"I didn't see where the punches were coming from, and I didn't protect myself from his punches, " said Cotto, who also said that he will continue to fight even though his father and many of his corner begged him not to continue after the 11th round.

"I'm very proud of what I did in the ring," said Cotto. "I've fought everybody."

After the 10th round, Cotto's nose was bleeding profusely and his left eyelid, tending his cornermen to ask him if he wanted to continue. He told them yes.

The left uppercut, Pacquiao's staple punch, finally took down Cotto less than a minute before the final bell.

The final punchstat numbers showed Pacquiao dominating total punches thrown, 780 to 597, punches connected (335-172) and power punches connected a devastating 275 to 93.

Cotto walked to his team bus with his wife and children, but was taken to Las Vegas University Medical Center trauma unit to undergo a full body scan.

Pacquiao in the news conference said, he would be in an outdoor concert after the event to perform eight songs.

While watching the game, I saw Cotto was a great player with sportsmanship while Pacquiao will now be a part of the history to won his 7th title in his straight undefeated 7th fight in the boxing arena.

DISASTROUS HURRICANE IDAH

Hurricane Idah - The three-day successive torrential rains caused by Hurricane Ida killed 42 people in El Salvador.

Humberto Centeno, the country's interior minister said on Sunday, "the toll was expected to rise as rescue teams moved into areas that have been cut off by mudslides."

A separate low pressure system may have also contributed to the rain, forecasters said.

News of the deaths came as the storm gathered strength off the coast of the Mexican resort city of Cancun on the Yucatan peninsula on Sunday.

Weather forecasters in the US have predicted the storm would head towards the US later this week, where the authorities have issued a hurricane watch for the US Gulf Coast.

US National Hurricane Center said, "A hurricane watch is in effect from Grand Isle, Louisiana to the Mississippi/Alabama border. This watch does not include the City of New Orleans (Louisiana)."

Hurricane conditions are possible within the watch area generally within 36 hours. It has been declared by Forecasters that Hurricane Ida on Thursday would passed off the Carribbean Coast of Nicaragua carrying heavy rains that would possibly destroyed several homes.

The storm path carrying heavy rains would cause thousands of people to seek refuge and shelter which storm would weakened into a tropical storm before reaching hurricane status again late on Saturday with sustained winds of near 145kph.

TWITTER ATTACKS CAUSED BLOGGER CYXYMU

The attacks that outage Twitter and left millions collateral damage around the globe was traced several hours ago that it was an attacked intended to a lone blogger in the former Soviet Republic of Georgia.

The attacks which started Thursday in Facebook, LiveJournal and several Web sites including Twitter that caused the site to crash out because of its denial of a service-attack commanded by hackers toward a single site to prevent legitimate traffic from getting through on a targeted blogger "Cyxymu", who bears a twitter id of twitter.com/cyxymu. Cyxymu is a Cyrillic spelling of Sukhumi, a city in the breakaway area of Abkhazia, Georgia.

Ray Dickenson, Chief Techonology Officer at Authentium, a computer security firm said, "A denial of service attack like this one is a very blunt instrument. It's as if a viewer who didn;t like one show on a television channel decided to "knock out the whole station." Or just like fishing with dynamite catching and killing all the other organisms including dolphins and sharks.

The source of the attacks was not known yet and who was behind it, but seems the dispute was related to the ongoing conflict between Russia and Georgia.
