It was in the later part of 2006 after a collaboration deal, Google and NASA signed an Agreement to publish an information from NASA based from the Space Act Agreement.

arlier part of February, the American National Aeronautic and Space Administration and Google announced new application for Google Earth which will enable a 3D tour of Mars and can be accessed through the "Mars" option in Google Earth's toolbar.

The goal of Google and NASA is to raise the level of understanding of the Red Planet in public as well as to support scientific research as it help share information collected by the explorers in their work, Information week writes.

Google Mars 3D enable the users to see the surface of Mars, review photos taken by Mars Rovers, satellite images of the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter and information raised by various institutions and exploration centers throughout the years.
