The Government Accountability Office which is the investigative arm of Congress, added Postal Service among the list of federal agencies for an urgent reconstruction. The estimated net loss for this fiscal year is $7 billion and believed to increase much in 2010.

Said losses accelerated rapidly in effect of e-mail and other alternatives whereby people nowadays rely on it.

The two hardest hit boroughs are Manhattan with 25 closures and Queens with 11.
