New York, Friday, January 16, 2009 - An entertainment news was just released that a nude photo of 20-year old Madonna is going to be sold in auction on February 12 at the Christie's auction house which is expected to sell for at least $10,000 according to Matthieu Humery, head of Christie's photography department.

Humery also added that this week the six photos from the shoot were also sold to Playboy and the one up for auction is "maybe the most explicit one." The other five pictures from the Playboy spread were sold together in 2003 for $7,170.00.

It was at that time that Madonna was a 20-year old dancer trying to make ends meet responding an ad of Firedlander's newspaper seeking a nude model for Playboy Magazine.

The nude photo which was full black and white frontal image taken by Lee Friedlander before an erotic songs and risque costumes catapulted Madonna to stardom which later known her as Madonna Loise Ciccone.

Friedlander said it is a very typical way of taking pictures of a woman. He likes very natural women. There's not a hint of glamorizing. That's what makes it powerful".

He also added that he knows of no other points of the black-and-white photo and that during the photo session Madonna "seemed very confident, a street-wise girl. She told me she was putting a band together but half the kids of that age are doing that. She was a good professional model".

Another later photo of Madonna, by Helmut Newton, is also in auction and is expected to fetch to $10,000 to $15,000. In that shot, which also sold to Playboy, Madonna is wearing a lingerie, in a seductive expression wherein a man kneels beside her.

The Madonna photos are among the 150 images by some of the biggest names in photography that are being sold from the collection of Leon and Michaela Constantiner.

Just last month, more than 350 photographs from the New York couple's collection were also sold in auctioned and one highlight was a collection of photographs of Marilyn Monroe taken by Bert Stern for Vogue Magazine before she died of the same year. The photographs were sold for $146,500.

Christie said that the record auction price for a nude photo is the $1.6million paid last year.
